Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers: National Technical Career Conference

Jan. 5-8 in Dallas, TX
A group of Lagses recruiters attended the conference and spoke to hundreds of students regarding graduate school at UC Berkeley and life as a graduate student in general.

Berkeley Edge Conference

Nov. 4-7
A conference that brings together undergraduates of color in the mathematics engineering and science who are competitive for the Ph.D. programs at Berkeley. The students attend a variety of workshops that involve the application process, fellowships and the general life of a Ph.D. students. Berkeley Edge Conference participants also spend a large amount of time interacting with current graduate students of color in the sciences, engineering and mathematics through a variety of dinners, lunches and a social put on by LAGSES and BGESS.
Berkeley Edge Program Reception

The reception is hosted by the Berkeley Edge Program. It will give you a chance to meet other students in your department and in related departments. At the reception you'll find out more about the upcoming Berkeley Edge Conference (Nov. 4-7) and how you can be part of our campus effort to increase the number of underrepresented minority students who are awarded doctorates in the sciences, mathematics and engineering here.
